Baltimorean, Washingtonian, Californian, Italian, Swiss, Texan, and now; South Carolinian. Visual language is the same, for the most part, all over the world for Graphic Design, Photography and UI Design.
Philosophically, I believe that typography (good) is still the keystone for all interesting design.
Layers of content, color, shape, texture are found in the lithographic imagery of the past are some of what transforms my work. However, beyond the trappings of lithographic surface, there are other influences prevalent in my work.
Frequently, you will see the work of; Kurt Schwitters, Armin Hoffman, Wolfgang Weingart, Odermatt+Tissi, Herbert Matter, Jan Tschicold, Paul Rand, Charles Rennie Macintosh, Piet Zwart, Juan Gris, Emil Nolde, Käthe Kollwitz, Oskar Kokoschka, El Lissitzky and Corbusier, to name a few.
A BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art (University of the Arts), and an MFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in Graphic Design and have over 30+ years of experience in the field. km
