"Barn" is loosely defined as a safe, healthy, horse friendly environment, where you might be able to board, possibly get training for you or your horse. Maybe it is private and doesn't board. However, its a great place to show, retire your horse buddy, take clinics, or school. It can also be people friendly, which can be a plus, although there are several places that prefer horses to human company, for good reason.
There are a lot of flakey folks out there in the horse industry. Can't be helped. All that is being done here, is listing every horse friendly barn that can be found/documented (within reason). The site isn't interested in politics, religion, vendettas, or specific discipline of the individual barn.
So, judging the validity of barn claims is up to you. However, undeniable proof of abuse will automatically delete problem barn.
This site apologizes to all the horses out there under the care of lunatics, neurotics, inexperienced idiots who know better than those with experience, and other unmentionables. We can't control that here, other than not posting them.
“The problem with the world is that
the intelligent people are full of doubts,
while the stupid ones are full of confidence.”
